Founded by Melanie Nead in 2017, Lonesome Pictopia creates original wallpapers, murals, and goods inspired by American tattooing, the Arts and Crafts Movement, and the wild spaces of the Pacific Northwest. After fifteen years as a custom tattooer, Melanie turned her love of plants and pattern to creating one-of-a-kind, hand-painted patterns and murals, with an eye on releasing a line of wallpapers in the spirit of beautiful historic wallcoverings. Wallpaper sales support our mission of giving back to the community through partnership with non-profits doing amazing work to support housing inequality in Portland and beyond.
